The "Big" Goalies & "Little" Goalies of Goalies Matter

Welcome to the Goalies Matter Mentorship Program! We're excited to have you here as we work together to enhance your knowledge in the world of goaltending and help accomplish your athletic and personal goals. Our program is designed to provide support, guidance, and valuable insights to help you reach your full potential and hopefully silence the demons of mental health. Let's embark on this journey TOGETHER!

OVERVIEW

Mentoring is a formal or informal relationship between two people—a veteran Peer mentor (usually outside the mentees' local team) and a younger student. Mentoring is a key component in TEAM development. Mentoring relationships are designed to produce positive developmental and rewarding outcomes with active participation, leadership involvement, proper planning, realistic expectations, and goals.

The primary purpose of the Goalies Matter Mentorship Program is to support a leadership development culture throughout your lacrosse career and develop a group of AMAZING individuals/humans. It is designed to recognize our goalies’ diverse talents and use those talents in ways that will help them achieve their goals and objectives. Ideally, this is accomplished while creating an inclusive environment, enhancing personal accomplishments, and furthering Goalies Matter towards fulfillment of its mission – to grow lifelong leaders.

Both prospective "Big" Goalies and "Little" Goalies may apply through the links below. Mentees will be assigned a mentor that has been carefully selected by the Mentorship Program Directors that best suits the needs of the student based on their application.
